We see her at church or work or down our street and she is nicely dressed, clean and smiling as we talk. But let us not forget that the battle is real.
What we don’t know is that she’s been under attack. Maybe it was a terminal diagnosis of her loved one or maybe she just found out that her child was hurt by someone she trusted or she lost her job this week. What we don’t know is that it’s not been just one of these, but a series of things that now have her bloodied and bruised.
We see her at the market and she hurls painful words at those around her. She is mean and hateful. We, too, want to lash out at her, or someone, when she said spiteful things to us! But let us not forget that the battle is real.
